Lineups

On the Byga app, coaches can build dynamic lineups for their games.

To build a lineup, go to the event then slide up from the bottom. Swipe over until you land on the lineups tab. Then click “Create New Lineup”.

Here, you can start by toggling through the permissions with the lineup. You can choose who as access to see the lineup and who has access to see the notes on the lineup.

Please note: Limiting who can see the lineup will also limit who can see the notes on the lineup.

There are different options for size of the lineup and the amount of players based on the sport. For example, with soccer you can choose 11, 9, 7, 5, or 4. Based on the amount of players, you will also be able to choose your formation. Formations will also be specific to the sport.

Finally, you can choose the way players names are formatted and whether you can customize names of positions.

Next, edit the style of your lineup. You have the option to edit your uniform or arena. Starting with the arena, you can customize the background for your lineup based on your field or court of play, and sport. Arena back drops are sport specific.

Uniforms can be customized based on design and color for field players and goalkeepers. For volleyball specifically you can customize the jersey of your libero as well.

To enter players into your lineup, select the position then select the player from there. When putting in a player, you can add notes, and ideal substitutions. These can be very useful especially when a coach is covering your game.

Finally you can add notes for the whole lineup. This is for general notes applying to the whole team. From there you can share your lineup at the bottom of your screen. You can share in your team chat or externally by hitting more.

Hit save on your lineup to lock it in. After saving you have the option to add this lineup to your favorites. This allows you to use this lineup as a template for later games when hitting create new lineup. There you can create a lineup from favorites. You can also copy the lineup, without saving it as a favorite.

You also have the option to go back and edit the lineup or delete the lineup
